Governments of Montenegro and Italy will launch an investment project worth EUR 720mn - an underwater electric transmission line. Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic visited Rome (February 6th 2010) and discussed with his Italian colleague Silvio Berlusconi about wide array of issues.

Most analysts believed that Montenegro will make good progress towards European Union, after becoming independent in 2006. This tiny country of amazing natural beauties, with only 650.000 citizens, has potential for fast development and quick accession into EU. Montenegro’s new government approved, while international press brings disturbing stories about new/old prime minister.

Montenegro’s parliament approved yesterday a new government that is led by long-time Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. In the parliament, 48 of 81 lawmakers approved the 21-member Cabinet. Djukanovic said that new government’s goal will be to speed up the this Balkan nation toward the NATO and European Union.
