After 20 years of having democracy, election winner was always known before the election day. Governments of Montenegro and Italy will launch an investment project worth EUR 720mn - an underwater electric transmission line. Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic visited Rome (February 6th 2010) and discussed with his Italian colleague Silvio Berlusconi about wide array of issues.

IMF report - Montenegrin economy in deepest recession in the Balkans. Government rejects it.

February 3, 2010. - Montenegrin officials rejected an estimate by the International Monetary Fund that its economy experienced the deepest recession in the Balkans and contracted by 7 percent.
