Montenegro to appply for EU candidate status during French Presidency?

eumn.jpgMontenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic visited Bosnia on Monday, December 1st, and said that country plans to apply for candidacy to the European Union by the end of this month.

“There is no doubt that Montenegro is ready to apply” for EU candicacy, Djukanovic said on his first visit to neighbouring Bosnia since Montenegro won independence in 2006.

“I am convinced that in final talks with the French presidency (of the EU), we will reach an optimal solution that will enable us … to apply by the end of 2008,” Djukanovic told journalists in Sarajevo after meeting with Bosnian Prime Minister Nikola Spiric.

Many believe that Montenegro should not apply for candidacy at the end of French Presidency, but the government insist that the country is ready and that barriers do not exist.

    I believe it is not good to apply at end of French term, because Montenegrin application may be backlashed when French term is over, and then Czech Presidency will also not feel obliged to “speed it up” because the country didn’t apply during their presidency… !

    It is my sincere opinion that the globalization taking place in europe is helping the Russians and the French/Czechs to obliterate, steal and murder all the natives of the ancient nations of europe.
